"I found my inspiration in language, and the ongoing conflict between now and then. The announcement that Mark Twain’s classic The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is being republished, replacing the word “nigger” with “slave” serves as the foundation for the piece. Two pages from the book are used to form the letter “N”, while all of the body text is crossed out, except for the source of the controversy, the repeated use of the word 'nigger.'"
