Ray Turner Population
Ray Turner born was born in California in 1958, and attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where he came to serve, for a time, as an instructor. Continuing to make Southern California his base of operations, Turner has progressively crafted a versatile and acclaimed body of work of growing scope and importance. With 'Population', Turner has arrived at impressive new altitudes and fashioned a uniquely seductive and engaging fusion of lyrical realism and abstraction in portraiture. Capturing sitters during "privileged instants" with mesmerizing skill and intimacy.
